Hyundai Prepares To Launch A More Interesting Facelift Variant Creta

JAKARTA - Since its debut in 2014, Hyundai Creta has been the main choice in the B-SUV segment thanks to its compact dimension and affordable price. Now, after going through two generations and various significant improvements, the SUV, which is also popular in Indonesia, seems to be experiencing an update in the coming year.

According to a report appearing on the Gaadi Waadi website, Wednesday, August 23, one of the vehicles suspected of being the facelift variant of Hyundai Creta has been seen undergoing trials on Indian roads recently. Although the car was covered in black camouflage that enveloped its entire body, some details about the new design of the Creta facelift are marginally visible.

In those pictures, it can be seen that Creta is undergoing significant changes in the front, which is expected to be even more different than the current model. Although still looking vague, it seems that the headlights and culles will adopt a similar design to the Palisade.

Side cars also show a more dynamic look when compared to the previous version, with more aerodynamic rims resembling spinning propellers. With these changes, the latest Creta is expected to appear more sporting than its predecessor.

The news about the facelift version of Hyundai Creta also includes feature improvements, such as a 360-degree parking camera and the ADAS level 2 system. This system includes several features, such as Forward Collision-avoidance Assist (FCA), Lane Following Assist (LFA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind-spot Collision-avoidance Assist (BCA), and Rear Cross-traffic Collision-avoidance Assist (RCCA).

In addition, the engine used in Creta currently has a maximum power of 113 dk. However, for the Creta facelift, it is hoped that a more powerful engine will be available. Most likely, the latest Hyundai Creta will share the machine with the latest generation Verna model, which is equipped with a 1.5 liter TGDi engine that produces up to 158 dk of power and a maximum torque of 253 Nm. This will make this compact SUV more competitive in the market and become a serious competitor to similar vehicles.

In Indonesia, Hyundai Creta competes closely with Honda HR-V, Toyota Yaris Cross, Mazda CX-3, and Mitsubishi XForce. This car is available in six different variants, with prices ranging from Rp291.3 million to Rp408.3 million.
