Daihatsu Achieves Various Awards And Makes Positive Sales Rates At GIIAS 2023

JAKARTA - The 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) has officially ended. Several automotive manufacturers participating in the exhibition received a number of positive results, either in terms of sales or other achievements.

Daihatsu, for example, with the theme "Advancing Life Tomorrow" booth, Daihatsu successfully provided a new experience for GIIAS 2023 visitors.

Thanks to attractive packaging, the Daihatsu booth won a number of awards at the GIIAS 2023 event. Starting from the best booth in the category of car brands with a size of 1,000-2,000 m2, a booth with the best independence day celebrations, as well as the Vizion-F concept car which was nominated for the "Special Concept Car".

Marketing Director and Corporate Planning and Communication Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), Sri Agung Handayani, expressed his gratitude to the visitors so that Daihatsu got success in GIIAS 2023.

"Seeing the enthusiasm and excitement of visitors at the Daihatsu booth is increasingly motivating in providing a memorable and unforgettable best experience for visitors at GIIAS 2023," Sri Agung said in his official statement, Monday, August 21.

In addition to winning some of these awards, the Japanese manufacturer also received positive results in terms of booking vehicles while at GIIAS 2023.

It was recorded that Daihatsu managed to record 1,203 Vehicle Ordering Letters (SPK). This figure is up about 17 percent compared to last year's edition with 1,030 units.

In detail, the most popular model in the Daihatsu booth is Sigra as much as 311 or contributing 25.9 percent, GranMax Pick Up 188 units or contributing 15.6 percent, Xenia 156 units or 13 percent, Terios 154 units or 12.8 percent, Ayla 116 units or 9.6 percent, and Rocky 112 units or contributing 9.3 percent.

The positive figures were followed by three other models, namely the GranMax Mini Bus, Sirion, and Luxio with a total of 166 units or contributed 13.8 percent.

This success was also followed by sales of Daihatsu retail until July 2023 in Indonesia which recorded sales of more than 117,000 units, an increase of about 10 percent compared to last year with the same period.

Daihatsu's sales contribution for seven months was also controlled by Sigra as many as 37,688 units, Gran Max Pick Up 25,313 units, and Terios totaling 15,880 units.
