JAKARTA - The automotive company from China, Seres, has officially launched the latest E1 electric vehicle for the Indonesian market. This car is suitable for urban areas.

Through PT Sokoindo Automobile's APM, Seres E1 is presented with a unique, stylish appearance, and is equipped with many features to meet the mobility needs of EV users.

Not only has a small and feature-rich look, Seres E1 is priced at a fairly cheap price. The cheapest variant is priced at IDR 189 million for Type B, while the highest type, Type L, is priced at IDR 219 million.

Head of Marketing for PT Sokoindo Automobile, Achmad Rofiqi, said that Seres E1 is the result of all input from the Indonesian people developed by technicians and engineers from Seres, so that the car becomes a reliable vehicle to go through daily activities.

"The E1 series is a form of innovation and seriousness of the SERES brand to enter the national automotive market and serve the needs of sustainable urban mobility," said Rofiqi in his statement, Saturday, August 12.

Having a compact design, Seres E1 has dimensions with a length of 3,030 mm, a width of 1,495 mm, a height of 1,640 mm, and a wheelbase of 1,960 mm. This car also has a fairly high ground clearance of 135 mm.

Although it looks simple and compact, the E1 Seres is presented with a DRL LED light on the front and back, a trendy 13-inch alloy rim so that this car can attract attention on the highway.

The E1 series has a four-seater configuration. The cabin carries a minimalist concept with a wooden panel of instruments and a 7-inch instrument cluster and a 8.8-inch unit head.

The initial variant of E1, Type B has an lithium iron phosphate battery which has a capacity of 13.8 kWh so that it can cover a maximum distance of up to 180 km, and has the capability to charge from 10 to 90 percent with an AC Type 2 soybean in 3.5 hours. This type has a 33 dk powered motor and a 100 Nm torque.

Then the highest variant, Type L is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries with a capacity of 16.8 kWh which can produce a distance of up to 220 km. The charging itself can be charged from 10 to 90 percent with AC Type 2 within 4 hours. This top type has a driving motor that has a power of 40 dk and a torque of 100 Nm.

Users don't need to worry about battery safety because Seres engineers have equipped it with the Collision Power Failure Protection feature, Battery System Thermal Management, Charging Port Cover Reminder, and High Voltage Safety Monitoring. This battery has also passed the IP67 Certificate, so there is no need to worry about being electrocuted or damaged while passing through the puddle.

State-of-the-art features such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brave Assist (BA), Hill Hold Control, parking cameras, cruise control, and driving modes are wisely pinned. The highest types, Seres E1 Type L, even offering Electronic Stability Control and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, are also present to assist users in the operation of the E1 Seres.
