Kia Releases All-New K3, Subcompact Sedan With Progressive Design And Modern Safety Features

JAKARTA - Kia, a South Korean automotive company, has launched the latest All-New K3 model globally. Entering the subcompact segment, Kia K3 comes as the latest sedan with innovative design and an interesting feature improvement.

Carrying the spirit of "Movement that Inspires" which can be interpreted as "Inspiring Movement," Kia K3 offers extraordinary comfort as well as the latest safety features.

The presence of this car aims to meet customer tastes and needs by providing an extraordinary driving experience and impressive performance.

North American Kia president and CEO Sean Yoon explained that Kia K3 comes with a variety of cutting-edge technologies that have never existed before in its class.

"K3 is also a testament to our commitment to providing mobility solutions that are perfectly designed to meet market needs, and recognize the potential for significant market growth in Mexico," Yoon said in a company statement on Wednesday, August 9.

Carrying the design philosophy of "Opposites United," Kia K3 has a bold and futuristic exterior display, complete with a typical Kia DRL LED light and a distinctive Tiger Nose Grill.

Although presented as a subcompact sedan, Kia K3 has a fairly compact dimension, with a length of 4,545 mm, a width of 1,765 mm, a height of 1,475 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. An extensive baggage room with a capacity of 544 liters is also offered.

In the cabin, Kia K3 is equipped with a variety of high-level conveniences, including a steering wheel inspired by Kia EV6 and a modern minimalist concept. The 10.25-inch touchscreen integrated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is also a feature available.

Safety aspects are also the focus, with a number of features such as ABS, ADAS, Front Collision Avoidance (FCA), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA), Rear Cross-traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA), and Driving Attention Warning (DAW) provided to provide a sense of security to drivers and passengers.

Kia offers two variants, namely the standard variant and GT-Line. The standard variant is equipped with a 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine available in six acceleration and automatic manual transmission, generating up to 121 dk of power.

Meanwhile, the GT-Line variant comes with a large capacity engine, which is 2.0 liters, which is capable of producing more power, reaching 150 dk, and combined with an automatic transmission of six accelerations. The 1.4 liter engine option will also be available.

Although prices have not been announced, the All-New Kia K3 is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of this year. Production of All-New Kia K3 will take place at the Nuevo Leon factory, Mexico.
