JAKARTA - Recently, BMW launched an M2 model that is experiencing design and performance updates. However, this German manufacturer is apparently not satisfied with its achievements.

BMW is working on developing the latest variant of M2, namely the upgraded M2 CS. Real evidence of this effort can be seen from the images circulating regarding the appearance of M2 CS on the timeline.

Reporting from Carscoops, Wednesday, August 8, BMW M2, which is currently in this development stage, at first glance, seems normal. However, it is clear that this Bavarian manufacturer has brought a number of changes compared to the standard variant.

One of the changes seen is a new front splitter with a prominent rear wing. In an effort to improve aerodynamics, the M2, which is still covered with a camouflage sticker, has a lower posture than the standard M2, as well as a slightly wider rim.

Although the changes implemented by BMW look little, these manufacturers are quite clever in hiding them with camouflage stickers. However, it is estimated that the latest M2 CS will still be equipped with a sporty exhaust and carbon fiber engine hood to reduce vehicle weight.

Not only in terms of outward appearance, but also performance at the bend and stability has increased. From the available images, it can be seen that the suspension has also been increased to give the impression of sporty, as well as a roof made of carbon fiber.

Although the interior is not recorded by the camera, it is believed that the M2 CS interior will also play a role in reducing the overall weight of the car. As an illustration, the previous variant of M2 CS is equipped with an alcantara seat, a carbon fiber component, and a CS emblem that gives an exclusive impression.

It is estimated that the latest M2 CS will use a similar machine with the current version, namely a 3.0 liter 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine with up to 453 dk of power.

Rumors circulated that the engine would experience a tuning to power up to 468 dk or even 475 dk. In fact, BMW is reviewing the possibility of producing a version with a power of up to 520 dk, making it the most powerful M2 CS ever.

M2 CS is also rumored to be marketed in a limited edition at a fairly high price. For example, the previous generation M2 CS sold for 83,600 US dollars or around Rp. 1.2 billion. This price does not include shipping costs.
