ZDX 2024, Acura's Initial Electric Car Will Debut On August 17

JAKARTA - Acura, a Honda subsidiary operating in the US market, has announced the launch date of its first electric car, ZDX 2024. The launch is scheduled for August 17th at the Monterey Car Week event in the US.

Electric car Acura ZDX 2024 will carry an exterior design inspired by the Acura Precision EV Concept, an electric car concept that has previously been exhibited.

The 2024 Acura ZDX model will be available in two variants, namely the standard variant and the highest variant, Type S. These two variants will offer advanced technology, including integration with Google's systems through applications and services.

Emile Korkor, Assistant Vice President of National Sales Acura, explained that Acura, with its commitment to Precision Craft Performance (Performa Created with Precision), will start a new era with this electric car, especially in the Type S variant which offers an encouraging driving experience.

"SUV ZDX Type S, as the fastest and most powerful in the history of this brand, will liven up the commitment and provide an extraordinary driving experience in electric vehicles," Emile said in a statement on Thursday, August 3.

Acura also collaborated with Bang & Olufsen, a premium audio system manufacturer from Denmark. Through this partnership, the highest quality audio system from Bang & Olufsen will be part of the 2024 Acura ZDX model.

This collaboration doesn't just happen, because Acura and Bang & Olufsen have a common vision. Bang & Olufsen has long been known as a brand that presents a leading audio system that provides convenience for its users.

The premium audio system Bang & Olufsen, which is dedicated and developed for Acura, will combine the latest technology to provide an extraordinary audio experience within the new Acura ZDX.

Acura ZDX 2024 will use the Ultium platform developed by General Motors (GM). This platform is also used by Cadillac Lyriq, an electric car from Cadillac.

This indicates that Acura ZDX is likely to have a performance that is comparable to Cadillac Lyriq, which has a power of 340 and a single motorbike that drives the rear wheels.

Meanwhile, the ZDX Type S variant, which is the highest performance variant, will be powered by two electric motors with a total power of 500 dk that drives all wheels, making it the most powerful car ever produced by Acura.
