JAKARTA - PT Sokoindo Automobile, as the provider of DFSK vehicles in Indonesia, held a simulation of a long journey for the Gelora E DFSK electric vehicle.

DFSK Gelora E is an electric-powered commercial vehicle that is already available in the Indonesian automotive market. The model is designed as a vehicle capable of carrying out heavy work by traveling long distances with various conditions in Indonesia.

The minibus has a length of 4,500 mm, a width of 1,680 mm, and a height of 2,000 mm by providing relief to the interior which can be ascertained to be reliable in carrying many goods on a long journey.

Marketing Head of PT Sokoindo Automobile, Achmad Rofiqi, revealed that with the implementation of this long-distance travel simulation, it proves that DFSK Gelora E is a versatile electric vehicle in conducting commercial activities.

"Evidently in every challenge provided, DFSK Gelora E can complete the journey well and prove reliable electric vehicles for daily community operational activities," said Rofiqi in an official statement, Thursday, July 6.

Travel simulations are carried out slowly by adjusting various road conditions. Starting from inter-city to inter-island trips which are generally also carried out in other commercial vehicles.

The simulation was carried out consisting of two passengers and luggage weighing 200 kg to 500 kg. The simulation journey was also carried out in a fully charged battery condition by not charging the battery while on the way.

The first long-distance travel test was carried out from Jakarta to Bandung in March 2023 with a distance of 185 km. On this trip, DFSK Gelora E only spent 60 percent of the battery power or cost Rp. 42,000.

Then, the simulation continued for the Parapat route to Medan with a distance of about 168.5 km. On this trip, DFSK Gelora E spent 38 percent of the battery power at a cost of Rp27,132.

The next simulation was carried out by traveling between islands from Bandar Lampung to Jakarta by spending a distance of about 223 km which only consumed about 72 percent of the battery or cost Rp. 51,400.

DFSK Gelora E has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 42 kWh that can carry this car up to 300 km. Although its charging capability is classified as standard from 20 percent to 80 percent within 80 minutes with fast charging, the quality of the battery from DFSK has been tested.

The batteries embedded in the minibus have adopted isolation protection measures, high voltage, dust resistance, and water with IP67 standards, as well as tight battery protection to ensure battery safety in various conditions.

Similar to all DFSK products, the Gelora E model is assembled in a factory in Cikande, Serang, Banten, which has met high technology standards to produce electric vehicles.
