JAKARTA - A luxury Japanese vehicle manufacturer, Lexus, has introduced its newest electric SUV, the All New Lexus RZ, at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW).
Recently, Lexus officially markets the model in Indonesia. Apart from RZ, the Indonesian Lexus also presented the highest variant of the All New Lexus RX, namely RX Hybrid Electric Performance, as an addition to the ranks of electrification SUVs in Indonesia.
Bansar Maduma, General Manager of Lexus Indonesia, expressed its enthusiasm in marketing the All New Lexus RZ model as the first BEV model for Lexus and RX Hybrid Electric Performance which complements the ranks of All New RX, after going through a previous feasibility test.
"With these two models, we again show Lexus' commitment to providing personal luxury through a complete electrification vehicle option at the Luxury Market Indonesia," Bansar said in its official statement, Tuesday, June 20.
Lexus Indonesia introduced RZ 450e Luxury as Lexus' first BEV model to offer a different, but environmentally friendly driving performance.
This car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 71.4 kWh equipped with Thermal Management System to maintain battery temperature. The distance reaches 400 km in one charge.
In addition to producing free emissions, the Lexus RZ 450e also has an impressive performance with electric motors that produce 308 dk of power. With the runway and all-wheel drive system using Direct4 technology, this SUV can reach speeds of 0-100 km/hour within 5.3 seconds.
"All New Lexus RZ offers a different BEV with a distinctive appearance, deep performance, and intuitive technology," said Bansar.

Furthermore, the Indonesian Lexus also introduced the highest variant of the All New Lexus RX, RX Hybrid Electric Performance or RX 500h F Sport+, with the Turbo Hybrid System system which provides satisfactory performance.
This hybrid crossover is equipped with a turbocharged engine combined with the Parallel Hybrid System, resulting in impressive performance with 366 dk.
The turbocharged engine also collaborates with the Nickel-Metal Hybrid (NiMH) battery power core measuring 288V which offers a formidable driving experience.
"The All New Lexus RX Hybrid Electric Performance confirms the concept of YET philosophy, where Lexus presents high-performance vehicles that still contribute positively to the environment through fuel consumption and less exhaust emissions than pure conventional machines," said Bansar.
The premium SUV from Lexus Indonesia is sold for IDR 2.287 billion for RZ 450e Luxury and IDR 1.961 billion for Lexus RX 500h F Sport +.
