JAKARTA - After a long wait, Aston Martin officially released the successor to DB11, namely Aston Martin DB12. The launch of DB12 coincides with the celebration of the 110th and 75th anniversary of the birth of the DB model.

The car, referred to as the "Super Tourer" by manufacturers, is claimed to offer new experiences for Aston Martin lovers.

Aston Martin's Group Chief Technology Officer, Roberto Fedeli, said DB12 is a product that prioritizes the performance, dynamic, and sophistication of technology in it. He claimed to have encouraged all aspects of the manufacturer so that the car released was superior to other manufacturers.

"The result is the strength and performance of more competitors. Combined with this extraordinary handling is a car with a really sporting passion and character. Most importantly, thanks to its ability, we have achieved this without sacrificing subtlety, comfort, and luxury," said Fedeli as quoted from Aston Martin's official website, Wednesday, May 24.

As the successor to the legacy, DB12 features a redesigned car front exterior, has a larger engine and a fully redesigned cabin.

The front, continuing the design of DB11 with the shape of a manufacturer's distinctive nose with a grip resembling a mustache but the grip is more prominent, splitter, and has a redesigned LED headlights. On the back, the design is still the same as DB11. The factory also embeds 21-inch FORged rims with Michelin Pilots Sport 5 S Tyres tires.

In the interior, the manufacturer carries contemporary designs combined with classic Aston Martin designs that offer super luxury comfort. The interior is also covered with Alcantara skin which has the best quality and the latest pattern in the cabin so that drivers and passengers feel more luxury.

DB12 has the latest audio system from Bowers & Wilkins, equipped with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless systems that have been connected to the 10.25-inch ultraresponsive touch screen.

Aston Martin DB12 has a V8 4.0 liter twin-turbo engine, which can power 670 dk and 800 Nm torque. With this machine, DB12 is capable of producing a top speed of up to 325 km/hour with an acceleration capability of 0-100 km/hour within 3.5 seconds.

DB12 is scheduled to be delivered in the third quarter of 2023 but the price details have not yet been released.
