The introduction of the iCar brand (Doc. China Daily)

Chery Auto recently introduced one of their sub-brand ranks, iCar, as well as its first iCar GT car and also the iCar 03 SUV.

iCar also announced that it will launch four cars after the GT and 03 models. They will have four product series including MPV, SUV, and sports cars.

Reporting from Carnewschina, Monday, April 16, 2023, Chery Auto introduced iCar which focuses on "young people" and will produce vehicles at prices between 150,000 to 400,000 Yuan (around Rp. 323.6 million to Rp. 863 million).

The iCar GT model is a concept car that features futuristic impressions with two scissors doors and a back light in the form of the letter "T". However, the concept car has not yet been produced.

While the first SUV iCar 03 has a fairly compact size with a length of 4.2 meters, a width of 1.8 meters, a height of 1.7 meters and a wheelbase of 2.7 meters. The manufacturer says the SUV has 20 smart sensors and also a large sunset.

At the time of introduction, Chery also released Virtual Assistant i-VA for the iCar brand. i-VA that can connect with services such as ChatGPT and users can communicate with the system to carry out their duties such as turning on and off air conditioning, as well as setting up windows.

In the launch event too, Chery launched the latest battery brand, namely ENER-Q, announcement of cooperation with CATL, and the factory claims that Chery will be the first to pin a sodium-ion battery on his car.
