JAKARTA - A car manufacturer from South Korea, Ssangyong Motor has released an image of its newest SUV, the Torres EVX, which will debut at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show on March 30.

Previously known as the U100, the car name Torres EVX is a combination of EV (Electric Vehicle) and X (eXtreme), which of course, emphasizes the character that the car is used for all terrain.

On the exterior, the Torres EVX looks different when compared to conventional fuel variants. The EVX is redesigned to be more modern and displays the tough characteristics of an EV SUV.

As for the headlights, Ssangyong Torres EVX is equipped with slimmer LED DRL lights and changes to the grille which is clearly different from other variants.

Moving on to the interior, Ssangyong has revamped it by installing two new screens and inserting wooden elements on the dashboard. Ssangyong says that the new dashboard "improves overall visibility".

For the specifications of the Torres EVX engine, Ssangyong does not provide any leaks. However, the SUV is embedded with the same platform as the smaller Korando e-Motion model.

Possibly, the Torres EVX will be equipped with a single electric motor mounted on the front that produces 140 kW or 190 hp and a 61.5 kWh battery that can drive with a range of up to 340 km.

The Torres EVX will be one of 16 EV cars that will be showcased by Ssangyong Motor in Seoul.

Additional information, Ssangyong Motor will soon change its name to KG Mobility. In fact, the Ssangyong logo is not attached to the exterior of the Torres EVX because the manufacturer will change its name. However, the Ssangyong logo is retained on the steering wheel.
