Red And White Fashion Week Held In Sarinah, Followed By Professional And Amateur Models

JAKARTA - The Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Red and White Youth held the Red and White Fashion Week (MPFW) in Sarinah, Jakarta, Saturday (11/11/2023), presenting dozens of designers. Chairman of the DPP Taruna Merah Putih (TMP) Hendrar Prihadi, in a press release, Saturday, said that apart from popularizing the work of Indonesian designers, this event also increased the competitiveness of fashion business actors based on MSMEs in the country. According to him, the intense competition in the fashion industry must continue to get the attention of all the nation's children. For Hendrar, who is often called Henditu, what the Red and White Taruna did through this event is part of mutual cooperation to build the independence of fashion business actors. The Red and White Fashion Week event is our duty as the moral responsibility of the Red and White Taruna as the nation's children to strengthen the position of Indonesian designers in their own country," said Hendi who is also the Head of the Government Goods/Services Procurement Policy Institute (LKPP RI), as quoted by Antara. Red and White Fashion Week, in addition to being followed by professional models, will also display amateur models that are administrators and members of the Red and White Taruna.

Hendi said the participation of members and administrators of the Red and White Taruna DPP was his own initiative. "The administrators and members of the TMP are very enthusiastic about appearing as a model with a professional model. I myself was captivated by the Apikmen dress," said Hendi. The event was preceded by a workshop hosted directly by well-known designer Samuel Watimena and Dana Maulana on Monday (20/11/2023).
