JAKARTA - Syifa Hadju plays Juwita in the film 200 Pounds Beauty, a film produced by MD Pictures adapted from a South Korean film with the same title that aired in 2006.

In the film this time, Syifa Hadju must play a character who has a weight greater than the original weight. Therefore, Syifa is required to use prosthetics while filming.

"When I was initially offered this project, I was asked maybe not to increase weight. I said maybe, but it definitely took a long time. Because I also had to consult a nutritionist. But it turned out that the time was really tight, so it was finally decided to just use prosthetics," said Syifa Hadju before the 200 Pounds Beauty premiere gala at Senayan Park, Central Jakarta on Friday, June 16.

While filming, Syifa had to wear prosthetics on almost all parts of her body. He admitted that he underwent a tough shooting process, he had cried on set because he was tired.

"Prosthetics are used for a maximum of 9 hours, because if it's more than that, it will get tougher," said Syifa.

"There was one day I felt really tired because I used the prosthetics for up to 12 hours, when I was shooting until the morning. I was there crying because I wasn't strong, my hand was like a sprain until I couldn't lift it," he continued.

The process of installing prosthetics which took up to 5 hours and the removal which took up to 1.5 hours also made the 22-year-old actress have to spend extra energy than other players. Moreover, acting with prosthetics also requires more energy.

"We were shooting in an air-conditioned room, everyone was wearing a jacket because of the cold, but I was dry," said Syifa.

"Anyway, when I become Juwita, no one will dare to invite anyone to chat. If I already use prosthetic, it can't be like laughing all over again," he added.

With the broadcast of 200 Pounds Beauty on Prime Video on June 22, Syifa Hadju feels that his struggle during filming 2 years ago paid off.

"So the struggle was extraordinary, and I'm really grateful to finally be able to air," concluded Syifa Hadju.
