JAKARTA - Gilang Dirga had to lose up to 20 kilograms in a month while filming the film Star Syndrome. This was done because there was a scene when Gilang was Jay in this film which was described as the band's vocalist with a slimmer body proportion at the beginning of his debut.
"Alhamdulillah, the decline is almost 20 kilograms," said Gilang during the inaugural screening of the film Star Syndrome in Jakarta, Friday, June 2.
Compared to Jay's visualization after 14 years of career as a singer, in the film Gilang is again described as having a more body to show a time difference in the flow.
Uniquely, in addition to having to lose weight, Gilang took a guitar course because his role as a singer required him to play guitar while singing.
He also studied with one of his band's band's vocalists for two weeks. Luckily, after intense training Gilang managed to play the guitar nicely in every Star Syndrome scene.
Meanwhile, despite being busy with schedules as an artist, Gilang continues to carry out his obligations as a father. In fact, he took the time to consult a pediatrician regarding the development of his child who is now one year old.
"Now he has a lot of skills, it's like a bench,” Gilang said as quoted by ANTARA.
He also said that as a parent, he and his wife still continue to learn so that the child gets good treatment and education from him. Gilang felt a little sad when he missed the important development of the child when he could not be by his side because of his busy work.
"Alhamdulillah (the child's activity) is always captured by people at home," he said.
