Not Following Artist Accounts In Social Media, Amanda Manopo: So As Not To Be Complicated

JAKARTA - Amanda Manopo has a different way from other artists in general when talking about the use of social media. He rarely posts his daily activities on his social media accounts.

The actor in the soap opera Ikatan Cinta prefers to use Instagram for business matters. Langhan for selling is fixed, make it a brand ambassador and others. But for private life or not, said Amanda Manopo in Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta on Thursday, February 9, 2023.

He is well aware that netizens who follow his social media accounts want what his daily life will be like. But he prefers to use social media for work.

"Sosmed for me to do work. Once in a while we post so that people know about us is okay. Their goal is to make a follow so they can know, but not everyone should be told," he said.

The 23-year-old actress also talked about why on her Instagram account, she didn't even follow one account. Amanda said she didn't want her life to be complicated by follow-following matters.

"So I don't bother, I don't want my life to be complicated. My life is complicated, and because of this follow, I don't like this foloow, I don't want to be more complicated," he said.

"I also don't want the people around me to be disturbed by the presence of netizens, so they can feel normal life. I just don't follow them, they are still being chased," he continued.

However, Amanda denied that she was said not to follow other celebrity accounts because she had problems. He also admitted that his fellow artists had understood his decision.

"No, because I understand. I also don't want to have friends like social friends. For me, friends, friends, not people like social friends and followers but actually not close," he concluded.
