Friends For A Long Time, Taskya Namya Enjoys Acting With Aulia Sarah

JAKARTA - Taskya Namya expressed her happiness to be able to compete in acting in the same film as Aulia Sarah. Both of them play the character of a teacher in the latest horror film, Waktu Maghrib.

The 29-year-old actress has been friends with Aulia for a long time. She admitted that she was happy to be able to go through the shooting process in Yogyakarta with her best friend. The last time Taskya and Aulia were in the same project was when both of them played roles in the film Siap Gan! (2018).

"This is 6 years after we became friends and finally got to one project," said Taskya during a press conference in the Epicentrum area, South Jakarta on Thursday, February 2.

"That's right, we will meet again in this project," said Aulia.

In the film Waktu Maghrib, Aulia Sarah plays Mrs. Woro, a teacher who is known to be discipline and fierce among her students. Meanwhile, Taskya plays Mrs. Ningsih, a new teacher well known to the students.

Taskya also talked about when she was informed that she had passed the casting to play Ningsih. Aulia, who was with Taskya at that time, was also happy with her friend's success.

"I really remember waiting for news that I was exercising with Aul. Suddenly, when we were cooling off we were told we were accepted, we immediately hugged each other," said Taskya.

"It's like oh my gosh, after 6 years we are best friends, finally we have one more project. Even though here the characters are not friends, the important thing is that we can work together,” she continued.

In exploring their respective characters, Taskya and Aulia also often communicate. With the opposite nature of Ningsih and Woro, they wanted to present something drastically different.

"In fact, we communicate a lot about how to treat Ningsih and Woro drastically when we meet the students. When we have mysteries behind it too, what people see it looks like, that's what we explore," said Taskya.

"How can we not show similarities at all, we have to be the opposite. It's not because our characters aren't friends and we keep our distance, isn't it," she concluded.
