Winning The Golden Globe, Michelle Yeoh A Reflection On The Struggle 60 Years Of Hollywood's Career

JAKARTA - Michelle Yeoh reflected her career in Hollywood after winning the 2023 Golden Globes. She considered it a beautiful dream for an Asian woman who got her win.

Yeoh won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy through his role in the film Everything Where All At Once. When receiving the award, Yeoh shared how he fought for a career in Hollywood.

40 years... don't leave this behind. It's been an incredible journey and a great struggle to be here, but I think it's worth it. I remember when I first came to Hollywood - a dream come true until I stood here," said Michelle Yeoh.

"I came here and was told 'You're a minority' and I was like 'Oh, it's impossible then another one said 'You... you can'... English forget that they don't know Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Asia, India, and then I said 'Yes, I got on the plane 13 hours so I learned,the story.

As an Asian woman, Michelle Yeoh realizes that the opportunity to develop in Hollywood is not as big as any else. She felt her career was over that she chose Everything Everything At Once which reaped success.

I think all women understand this over the days and years and numbers are getting bigger, the chances of starting a career are getting smaller. There are times when I feel I've gone through. Cmon I worked with the best people - Steven Spielberg, Danny Boyle, until the best gift came, Everything Everything All At Once," Yeoh continued.

I was blessed to play a woman who reconciled with me and many people. Because in the end, which universe he was in, he continued to struggle - fighting for his family's love," Yeoh said of his character.
