JAKARTA - Wregas Bhanuteja will produce the film Budi Pekerti. In this drama film produced by Renata Studio and Kaninga Pictures, Wregas will direct Sha Ine Febriyanti, Angga Yunanda, Prilly Latuconsina, and Dwi Sasono.

Wregas Bhanuteja's work is worth waiting for because last year, Wregas' first feature film entitled Penyalin Cahaya successfully won 12 Citra Awards at the 2021 Indonesian Film Festival (FFI).

Wregas also won the Best Original Screenplay Writer Citra Award at the 2021 FFI. Previously, he also made a number of short films, such as Prenjak which won Best Short Film at the 2016 Semaine de la Critique-Cannes Film Festival and the 2016 FFI Citra Cup; and There's Nothing Crazy in This City which also won the 2019 FFI Citra Cup in the Best Short Film category.

In terms of producers, the film Budi Pekerti was handled by Adi Ekatama, Ridla An-Nuur, and Willawati. The three of them are film producers who have produced a number of film titles from various genres which have also received appreciation from film festivals at home and abroad.

Adi Ekatama himself has produced Penyalin Cahaya and Tak Ada yang Gila di Kota Ini. While Ridla An-Nuur has produced Doremi & You, Ziarah, and Filosofi Kopi: Ben&Jody. Meanwhile, Willawati was previously an executive producer for the films Night Bus, Marlina si Pembunuh dalam Empat Babak, and Penyalin Cahaya.

As reported by ANTARA, the film Budi Pekerti is in the process of being shot in Yogyakarta. Shooting began in November and is scheduled to finish in early December 2022. The film is predicted to hit theaters in 2023.
