Shah Rukh Khan Becomes A Eye In Pathaan Film

JAKARTA - A spy action film teaser titled Pathaan was released to coincide with Shah Rukh Khan's 57th birthday on November 2. The film, produced by Yash Raj Films and Shah Rukh Khan, is part of the spy world story produced by Aditya Chopra.

The franchise also includes Tiger starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif and War involving Hrithik Rohan and Tiger Shorff.

"He is the main character in this spectacle of action which is expected to be a new benchmark for the action genre in India," said Pathaan director Siddhart Anand as quoted by Variety, Thursday, November 3.

Anand said Shah Rukh Khan's involvement in films with top actors and actresses such as Deepika Padukone and John Abraham gave Pathaan more value. He also promised that this film would not disappoint the audience.

"When you have Shah Rukh Khan in your film, along with other superstars like Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, you have to get the number one people in every department and I don't think we will disappoint that promise through Pathaan," Anand said.

Shah Rukh Khan is known as one of the great Bollywood romantic stars. However, some of his last films performed poorly at the box office.

The last film in which Shah Rukh Khan became the main star was Zero, where he played a hero in 2018. He also performed briefly in the films Laal Singh Chaddha and Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.

Pathaan will be released on January 25, 2023 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and in Imax format. While Dunki is scheduled for December 22, 2023, meaning that 2023 will begin and end with Khan's film.
