JAKARTA - The former Penthouse model and drug dealer fell in love with a former female prison warden he met during a prison rehabilitation program.

Simone Starr was a sexy clothing model in Sydney, Australia before she was involved with the drug trafficking network.

He was arrested in 2009 for smuggling methamphetamine and was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars after a parcel bomb blew up his then girlfriend's face.

Starr spent most of her time in Dillaynia women's prison and was part of an intensive rehabilitation program that left her devastated.

Prison officer Britt Young comforted Starr and took the time to help her deal with what she was going through.

Starr stressed that initially there was no romantic attraction between them. The woman aged 28 at the time described Young as her mentor.

After getting parole in 2019, Starr tracked Young down on Facebook with the aim of thanking him for the impact he had on his life, after being separated by two years.

The prison guard responded and said it was inappropriate for the guards serving to talk to former inmates. Starr then asked him to call if things changed.

Young said that after making contact with Starr via Facebook, he felt uneasy about the urge to try same-sex relationships.

"Something like: You have to try this ... The only way you can do it is to resign before you do it," Young told the Daily Mail, Monday, November 30.

Young and Starr currently live together in Sydney.
