JAKARTA - Director James Cameron suffered heavy pressure while working on the sequel to the Avatar film. 13 years of distance between the first and the second part is not without reason, even Cameron once threw away the Avatar 2 script.

"When I sat down with the writers to start Avatar 2, I said we couldn't make a second part until we understood why the first film was so successful," James Cameron quoted The UK Times as saying.

James Cameron wants this part of the sequel to be perfect in any aspect through its first part. He called it looking for the successful formula.

All films work at different levels. The first is the surface such as character, problems and resolutions," he said.

Meanwhile, the production house re-released the Avatar in a 4K restoration format. This screening is a reminder before the film Avatar 2 was released in December 2022.
