Using 4K High Dynamic Range, Avatar Returns To Cinema

JAKARTA - James Cameron's epic adventure film Avatar will return to theaters this September in 4K High Dynamic Range. Fil, which won an Academy Award in 2009 is one of the most successful films of all time.

20th Century Studios has released a new trailer and poster to celebrate the 2009 re-release of the film.

Written and directed by Academy Award winner James Cameron, Avatar stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Sigourney Weaver. The film was produced by James Cameron and Jon Landau.

Quoted from ANTARA, Avatar received nine Academy Award nominations including Best Film and Best Director. The film also won three Oscars for Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, and Best Visual Effects.

Meanwhile, a sequel titled Avatar: The Way of Water is slated for release later this year.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar: The Way of Water will tell the story of Sully's family (Jake, Neytiri, and their children), the troubles that follow them, how far they go to take care of each other, the battles they fought to stay alive, and the tragedies they endured.
