Disqualified From Miss Global 2022 For Insulting Police, Miss Estonia Still Praises The Beauty Of Bali

JAKARTA - Representative of Estonia, Valeria Vasilieva was disqualified from Miss Global 2022 for violating the rules. Valeria went viral after a video showing her insulting the Balinese police was spread on social media.

In a video recording uploaded to TikTok, she called the Balinese police corrupt because they always ask tourists for money. She added that the police would always ask for money anywhere. The video was made while she was on vacation in Bali ahead of the competition.

National Director of PT. The masterpiece of the Indonesian Enchantment Ambassador, Dr. Kishanty Hardaningtyas immediately gave a firm statement after the video went viral.

"I am Dr. Kishanty Hardaningtyas, National Director of PT. Mahakarya Duta Pesona Indonesia, as the organizer of Miss Global 2022, I would like to provide clarification and answer the issues circulating and viral these days on social media regarding the involvement of one of the Miss Global 2022 delegates", said Kishanty Hardaningtyas in a release received by VOI, Wednesday, May 25.

"On behalf of the entire Miss Global team/organization, we are disturbed and sincerely regret the behavior of Miss Global Estonia, Miss Valerie Vasilieva."

Kishanty also emphasized that the Miss Global 2022 competition will continue as scheduled.

"Miss Global 2022 will continue as planned, on June 11, 2022 in Bali, Indonesia", she said.

Valeria Vasilieva immediately left Bali after being disqualified. Via Instagram @lerusi_k, Valeria uploaded an apology video. She regrets not being able to upload on TikTok because it has been blocked.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience I caused this morning. I had many wonderful experiences in Bali. The people there are very friendly, I don't want to be rude and hurt your feelings. I'm really sorry", he said in the video uploaded on May 18.

In addition, Valeria Vasilieva also makes a video collage of the beauty of Bali that she enjoys. "A beautiful story, unfortunately, does not have a happy ending. I love you, thank you, Bali", she wrote.

Apparently the upload got a lot of attention from Indonesian netizens. In the comments column, some netizens even apologized again for the inconvenience they felt while in Bali.
