Extreme Decay Continues Terror With New Album Downfall Of A God Complex

JAKARTA - The grindcore troop based in Malang, Extreme Decay launched a new album titled Downfall Of A God Complex today, Friday, April 29. A total of 22 songs that reside in it, packaged in a bandage of aggressive and brutal music that is driven non-stop in the frame of the end of the world.

Downfall Of A God Complex was released in three versions. CD format via Selfmadegod Records, a record label from Poland that also houses the releases of classic grindcore bands such as Antigama, Nasum, Unholy Grave, to Agathocles. Cassette format via Grieve Records, a Jakarta-based record label that is also home to Bats Malam, Masakre, to Marax.

Meanwhile, for the LP format, it is a collaboration between ten underground record labels spread across Europe and South America. As a promotion, the album's first two singles; Year of The Grind and Installing Apocalypse, 99% Complete has been released in music video format through Selfmadegod Records' YouTube channel some time ago.

According to his official statement, all the music and lyrics on the Downfall Of A God Complex album were written by Extreme Decay personnel where the music material was recorded at Natural Studio (Surabaya) for three full days on 15-17 October 2021 with Irwan as the operator. The mixing and mastering process was carried out by Yobbi Ananta at Grim Studio (Jakarta).

The title Downfall Of A God Complex, chosen by Extreme Decay, depicts the downfall for people who like to act like a god. About those who always feel the most right and do not want to be denied. Foolish and stupid.

"All the lyrics on this album are very straightforward in criticizing this behavior while at the same time designing the atmosphere of dystopia and the end of the world. The main theme can be related to issues of social, political, religious, economic, popular culture, and ecology destruction that are happening around the world," said the band. in a written statement received by VOI, Friday.

After more than two decades, Extreme Decay, which currently consists of Ravi (guitar/vocals), Ruli (guitar/vocals), Nizar (bass/vocals), and Eko (drums) shows no signs of softening. They continue their terror through the Downfall Of A God Complex.
