Need To Be Watched, 4 To 6 Million Couples In Indonesia Have Infertility Problems

JAKARTA - Infertility is a couple's inability to get pregnant after having sexual intercourse regularly for one year or more, without using contraception. This problem turns out to be experienced by quite a number of couples.

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports 17.5 percent of the adult population, at least 1 in 6 people in the world are experiencing infertility. In Indonesia itself, according to the Indonesian In Vitro Fertility Association (PERFITRI) and several epidemiological studies, there are about 4-6 million couples facing difficulties with natural pregnancy or infertility.
