JAKARTA - PT Aneka Tambang Tbk officially launched a digital platform for buying and selling gold, called ANTAM Logam Mulia.

This digital platform is here to make it easier for people to invest in gold.

Director of Antam Nico Kanter said that the background for the development of the ANTAM Logam Mulia application departed from the development of digital technology and the increasing public need for flexible and efficient gold investment.

Antam, he continued, sees a great opportunity to improve customer experience and convenience through digital physical gold transaction platforms based on mobile applications.

"Through this application, safe services that were previously only accessible through the website www.brankangslm.com, web based, are now available in a more practical mobile app format," he said at the launch of the ANTAM Logam Mulia application, in Jakarta, Tuesday, March 18.

Furthermore, Nico said that his party also wanted to expand Antam's precious metal market share by reaching a wider segment, including the younger generation.

"We also want to expand the market share by reaching a wider customer segment, including the younger generation," he explained.

Nico also said that the ANTAM Logam Mulia platform has been supervised by the Commodity Futures Trading Committee (CoFTRA) of the Ministry of Trade and is also registered with the Indonesia Commodity and Derivative Exchange (ICDX).

"So every grammar that is transacted in digital has its physical grammar in ICBX," he said.

Meanwhile, UBPP General Manager Logam Mulia Antam Kunto Hendrapawoko admitted that he is optimistic that sales of physical and digital gold can reach 1 ton this year, along with the presence of the ANTAM Logam Mulia application.

"This year we are optimistic that we can achieve sales of 1 ton of physical, digital gold through an application that we have just launched," he said.

Currently, he continued, the registered members or members of ANTAM Logam Mulia have reached nearly 25,000 people.

He hopes that the number of members will continue to grow, including for corporate consumers.

"Currently, there are almost 25,000 people who have been registered as members or registered as members who registered in the NGO application and our hope is not only from retail or individual consumers but also from corporate ones," he said.
