IDX And OJK Strengthen Issuers' Quality In 2025, Including Revision Of Rules

JAKARTA - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) will strengthen the provisions for recording the initial public offering (IPO) in 2025.

IDX President Director Iman Rachman said that his party continues to improve the rules for prospective issuers who want to take the floor on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, namely by revising a number of existing regulations.

"First, for example, if the float is free, will we increase the free float so far? That the company has recorded free floats if it is equity above IDR 2 billion, the maximum free float is 10 percent. Will we increase it so that there is more equity?" said Iman at a press conference, Monday, December 30.

In addition, Iman conveyed that the second was related to the minimum operational rules, which were previously limited to at least a year in operation in the future, which would be extended to more than a year so that the company's fundamentals could be more measurable.

In line, Deputy Commissioner for Capital Market Investment Management and OJK Effect Institution Aditya Jayantara said OJK is committed to improving the quality of issuers conducting IPOs.

"We are currently drafting OJK Regulations (POJK) and now at the stage of the Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham), in the context of strengthening regulations to strengthen issuers," he said.

In addition, Aditya said that his party would immediately formulate follow-up rules if a delisting company alias the transfer in the event of a revocation of status from an open company to a closed company.

Aditya conveyed that the next step, namely the OJK, would review the IPO process. "So we will try a review, then also ask for information from friends in supporting institutions or supporting businesses. And pulled back again how to protect in the future," he explained.

In the future, Aditya said that the OJK will also optimize the role of promotion and supporting institutions such as optimizing the opening of the emission deputy guarantor's permit, whether it is in accordance with its quality or qualification.
