JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) will soon impose a new tariff for the Lubuk Linggau 'Curup Section Bengkulu' Tanjung Toll Road.

This follows the issuance of the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Public Works Number 3036 of 2024 on November 29, 2024 regarding the adjustment of the toll road tariff.

Executive Vice President (EVP) of the Corporate Secretary of Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim stated, the company has carried out intensive socialization through various communication channels, such as online media, banners and billboards along toll roads.

In addition, Hutama Karya also held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Tuesday, December 17, 2024.

Adjib assessed that this FGD discussed comprehensively the plan to implement new tariffs while at the same time accommodating input from various parties.

"We want to ensure that this policy takes into account the interests of toll road users and toll road business entities (BUJT)," said Adjib in his official statement, quoted on Tuesday, December 24.

In addition, Bengkulu University Technical Faculty Lecturer Hardiansyah said that this toll road has a strategic role in connecting the southern region of Bengkulu City, Fatmawati Soekarno Airport and Baai Island Port.

He encouraged increased use of toll roads to improve safety and effectiveness of arterial roads.

To support the local economy, the company suggested that the existing rest area could be utilized by involving local MSMEs and promoting regional tourism.

"Collaboration with airlines and tourism service providers can also increase accessibility and make toll roads the main tourist route," he said.
