JAKARTA - The commitment of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) to increase the use of domestic products in the company's business operations was awarded The Indonesia Best Companies in Local Content at the Indonesia Best Companies in Managing Domestic Component Level organized by SWA Magazine.
The award with the title of Very Good was handed over by the Chief Editor of SWA Media Group, Kemal E. Gani to the Director of Operations of SIG, Reni Wulandari at Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, on Tuesday 17 December.
SIG Operations Director, Reni Wulandari said, increasing the use of domestic products in the Company's business operations is a concrete step by SIG to support the progress of the domestic industry and create sustainable value. This initiative is strengthened by the policy of the GIS Board of Directors on Increasing the Use of Domestic Products (P3DN) and the Proudly Made in Indonesia National Movement (Gernas BBI), which is in line with the direction of the Ministry of SOEs.
"SIG's commitment to optimize the use of domestic products in the Company's business operations is evidenced by domestic product spending in 2023 of IDR 23.742 trillion, or 92.92 percent of total goods and services expenditures of IDR 25.552 trillion," said Reni Wulandari.
Reni Wulandari added that SIG implemented a program to increase the use of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) for spare parts (spareparts) based on SME empowerment and cooperation with domestic industries. Through this program, SIG seeks to reduce dependence on spare parts imports by creating end-to-end business ecosystems in the form of assistance to domestic business actors to be able to produce appropriate spare parts for the GIS factory, and the opportunity to become part of the Company's supply chain.
