Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said the government would continue to optimize the management of state assets as a source of revenue.

He targets that by 2024 all State Property (BMN) will be fully certified and facilitate the tracking of its management.

According to Sri Mulyani, in managing and documenting all state assets, the Ministry of Finance has developed a State Asset Management Information System (SIMAN) to continue to monitor and update the performance of its state assets, including its maintenance efficiency.

"This is also a way of public education that state finances are not just taxes, customs, debts, but also aspects of state wealth expenditures and assets that are beneficial to the economy," he said while giving the Bandha Reksa award at the Dhanapala Hall, Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, November 22.

Sri Mulyani hopes that the certification of state assets will be completed in 2024 and the control of this certificate is part of the government and the public can understand and know which assets belong to the state and are recorded in the government's financial books.

"From the management side, and governance, we also regulate it by BMN certification, especially for land that is targeted to be completed by 2024," he explained.

Meanwhile, Director General of State Assets (Dirjen KN) Rionald Silaban said that his party is targeting to certify as many as 49,000 and hopes that the certification target in 2023 can be met.

"Currently it has reached 94 percent", he said.

Rionald said that certification is a form of orderly physical and legal administration that is sought by the government to be able to maintain state assets.

In addition, Rionald said state assets could be one of the sources of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) and the application of state assets could reduce state spending.
