JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono attended the 2023 Indonesian Toll Road Association (ATI) Annual Member Meeting with the theme "Sutainable Toll Road Business Entrepreneurship" in Jakarta, Thursday, November 16.
On this occasion, Minister Basuki conveyed three things that need attention for ATI and the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) in organizing the toll road in the future. First, namely improving toll road governance.
"Please tidy up the governance properly, especially regarding internal tenders at BUJT, please be careful. I want, we are all safe. So, in the future the PUPR Ministry will check the estimated price first before BUJT conducts a tender to make it more accountable," said Basuki in his written statement, quoted Friday, November 17.
Second, the addition of reforestation to increase the aesthetics of toll roads.
"Now it's started the rainy season, so I ask for more planting along the toll road, especially in the junction. If possible, we will build reservoirs or at least plant them," said Basuki.
Finally, improving toll road services. Basuki ensured that trials of using the contactless transaction system or Multi Lane Free Flow (MLFF) on the Bali-Mandara Toll Road will be carried out in the second week of December 2023.
