There Are Four Cheap Imported Goods That Can Be Sold Online, Minister Of Trade: Books To Music

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) has set a positive list or list of goods that are allowed to import directly at a price below 100 US dollars through e-commerce or online trading.

There are four items, namely books, software, films and music.

Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan said the list of positive lists would be evaluated every six months.

He said, currently the government is limiting only the four types of goods that are allowed.

Zulhas, Zulkifli Hasan's nickname, said that later the list of items that could be imported under 100 US dollars will be regulated in Permendag Number 31 of 2023.

The driver contains Business Licensing, Advertising, Guidance, and Supervision of Business Actors in Trade Through Electronic Systems. This regulation just took effect a few days ago.

The Minister of Trade Regulation Number 31 of 2023 is an amendment to the previous 50 Year 2022 Drivers.

Zulhas admitted that it had also been agreed that more than 1,000 HS numbers would be post bordered.

"Given relaxation time, we will finish the Permendag later. In addition, there is a relaxation for one month for socialization," he explained.

Zulhas also said that in a limited meeting chaired by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), it was agreed that the government would tighten the imports of several commodities.

"To follow up on the direction of the President or the decision from a limited meeting chaired by the President regarding the regulation of tightening imports of products, there are several products that have been agreed upon, such as clothes, children's toys, medicines, electronics, supplements and others," he said.
