SOE Issuers On The IDX Donate IDR 33 Trillion To The State Budget In 2022

JAKARTA - PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (IDX) stated that companies of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) which recorded a contribution of IDR 33 trillion to the State Budget in 2022.

IDX President Director Iman Rachman revealed that state-owned companies contribute to the state through dividend distribution.

"The real contribution of SOEs and their affiliates that recorded shares, one of which was reflected in the distribution of dividends attributable to state revenue," said Iman quoting Antara, Friday, October 27.

He revealed that state-owned companies on the IDX contributed 22 percent of the total market capitalization for 2022, although the number was only 4.1 percent of all companies listed on the IDX.

In addition, the good performance of state-owned companies on the IDX is also reflected in the trading liquidity side, which is able to contribute 25 percent of the trade volume on the IDX during 2022.

"This shows that state-owned companies and their affiliates are in demand by investors," said Iman.

He explained that the growth of state-owned companies and public entities was also reflected in the increasing market capitalization compared to before holding the Initial Public Offering (IPO).

He gave an example, several state-owned companies or SOEs, such as PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) increased by 2,445 percent, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) increased by 2,457 percent, and PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) increased by 8,718 percent.

On this occasion, Iman said the IPO action could accelerate the company's development, accelerate Good Corporate Governance (GCG) to improve corporate image, and make it easier to develop strategic partnerships.

In addition, the IPO can increase the role and contribution of companies, especially SOEs and subsidiaries for the Indonesian community and economy.
