JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) continues to increase cooperation for the development of green industrial development or Eco Industrial Park (EIP), one of which is Vietnam.
In the Structure Exchange between member countries of the Southeast Asian Global Eco Industrial Park Program (GEIPP) which took place on October 10-12 2023, Indonesia received a Vietnamese delegation to exchange experiences and improve the competence of each country in implementing the EIP concept.
"The collaboration between the Ministry of Industry and the Vietnam Delegation in GEIPP Structured Exchange activities is an important milestone in realizing a common vision for an industry that is inclusive and sustainable," said the Director General of Resilience, Region and Access to International Industry (KPAII) of the Ministry of Industry Eko SA Cahyanto in a written statement received by VOI, Monday, October 23.
Eko hopes that this collaboration can continue to develop and provide sustainable benefits for both countries.
He added, apart from going through the GEIPP program, in an effort to transform industrial estates in Indonesia into EIP, the Ministry of Industry also has an Eco Industrial Development (EID) program supported by the Korean Energy Agency (KEA).
"The EID program itself is currently being carried out by Krakatau Sarana Properti (KSP) as a pilot project, and is still under exploration with Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) Jakarta for the next pilot project," said Eko.
