JAKARTA - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to strengthen Islamic financial literacy, this time by optimizing the role of mothers as ambassadors for Islamic financial literacy through the implementation of the Friends of the Mother of Sharia Financial Literacy Literacy (SISANTIKS) program which was held in Jakarta, on Tuesday 11 October.
The SICANTIS program was previously launched by the OJK in Bandung on September 14, 2023, which was designed to encourage the presence of the Sharia Financial Women Literacy Ambassador, one of which is by providing sustainable financial literacy training to the Key Opinion Leader (KOL) or community-based.
Chief Executive of the Behavior Supervisory of Financial, Education, and Protection Business Actors of OJK Consumers, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, explained that the presence of the SICANTIKS Program is expected to increase literacy, including knowledge related to Islamic financial products and family planning and financial management.
"Then empowering mothers as educational agents who can share knowledge with the wider community, as well as encouraging mothers to take part in utilizing Islamic financial products and services as an effort to increase inclusion," said Friderica.
Accompanying this moment and as a form of support to encourage Islamic financial literacy, Bank DKI through the Sharia Business Unit also participates in providing education about Islamic financial literacy and introducing various Islamic digital financial products, in talk shows with the theme Digitalization of Islamic Finance.
In addition, Bank DKI also enlivened the event by providing Hajj and Umrah Savings (Taharoh) for five OJK Literacy Ambassadors amounting to Rp250 thousand each, and Taharoh prizes and Umrah discount vouchers of Rp million to seminar participants.
