YOGYAKARTA Governor of North Sulawesi (Sulut) Olly Dondokambey and Deputy Governor Steven OE Kandouw managed to show positive performance in overcoming inflation. Based on a report from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), North Sulawesi's inflation rate was the lowest in Indonesia, which was 1.16 percent.

The condition in September 2023, Manado City experienced inflation of 0.14 percent, inflation of the calendar year of 0.94 percent and year on year (yoy) inflation of 1.16 percent.

When viewed from the inflation month to month (mtm) of Manado City, it ranks 7th in inflation on Sulawesi Island and is 57th nationally, while year on year (yoy) Manado City ranks 12th on Sulawesi Island.

According to BPS, the largest contributor to year on year (yoy) inflation in September, namely rice at 0.7871 percent and the largest contributor to deflation, namely cayenne pepper at 0.4137 percent.

Meanwhile, the largest contributor to inflation month to month (mtm) in September 2023, namely deho fish at 0.0971 percent. The largest contributor to deflation was tomatoes at 0.0955 percent.
