JAKARTA - The Jakarta Hub Entrepreneur Program initiated by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) managed to record a total investment potential value of IDR 57.3 billion, with the largest figure reaching IDR 21 billion.

"We have proven that we can work together, collaborate well, for one purpose to scale up entrepreneurs in Jakarta and its surroundings by sharing resources, complementing each other and supporting each other. Really, this is an example, the best practice collaboration of pentahelix in the context of developing national entrepreneurship," said Deputy for Entrepreneurship at the Coordinating Ministry for SMEs Siti Azizah in an official statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, September 27.

Kemenkop UKM noted, out of 100 participants, 33 business pitchecks were selected by entrepreneur Hub Jakarta partner investors. Of these, 78 percent of them are considered to have prospects and will be followed up by investors through pitching and networking sessions.

Even so, Siti Azizah asked the participants not to be complacent with this achievement.

He hopes that this well-established collaboration can continue in the future, and can form an entrepreneurial ecosystem that is conducive to entrepreneurs in Jakarta and its surroundings to grow.

He hopes that facilitators who are academics from 5 collaboration campuses and 10 mentors can crystallize the experience of the 5-month EHub Jakarta program into a module that can then be used as a reference for the next programs. Then, other stakeholders can replicate similar activities.

"I invite all parties to take care of this gathering, continue collaboration to form a more established ecosystem, and of course together we support and pray for fellow participants who will do pitching and networking today, hopefully they can achieve what is expected to increase their business scale," he said.

Meanwhile, the Director of MSME Development and Cooperatives of the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (Ministry of VAT/Bappenas) Ahmad Dading Gunadi, who said that the National Long-Term Development Draft (RPJP) for 20 years starting 2025-2045 has been prepared to realize Indonesia as a developed country.

Indonesia wants to become a developed country with economic growth reaching around 6 percent and per capita income in 2045 of around US$30,000 per year.

To achieve this, one of them is by pursuing an ambitious target in 2024, namely achieving an entrepreneurship ratio of 4 percent and increasing again in 2045 to 8 percent.

"One of the characteristics of developed countries is the strong entrepreneurship ratio, for that through this activity, we want to jointly grow and create new entrepreneurs who have an innovative spirit, have the desire to progress, and have the courage to take risks," he said.
