PLN Boss Reveals State Of Debt To PLN Worth IDR 60.66 Trillion

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Perusahaan Listrik Nasional (Persero) or PLN Darmawan Prasodjo revealed that the government's total debt to its companies reached IDR 60.66 trillion for the period from 2022 to 2023.

Darmawan also detailed the debt. A value of IDR 58.83 trillion for electricity subsidies in 2022 and has been audited by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

"The realization of payments to PLN is IDR 54.15 trillion, for that the shortage is IDR 4.67 trillion," he said.

Next, continued Darmawan, the debt for electricity subsidies in 2023 is an audit result of IDR 43.32 trillion.

Until August, he continued, the realization of the new government debt payment was IDR 37.2 trillion.

"So the shortfall is IDR 5.82 trillion," he said.

Then, said Darmawan, the electricity compensation debt until August 2023 from the audit results of IDR 50.16 trillion. The compensation payment is still in process.

"So there is a lack of payment to PLN in the amount of Rp. 50.16 trillion. So that the total is Rp. 60.66 trillion," he said.

Darmawan explained, specifically for lsictric compensation until August 2023, it is estimated that the estimated payment will be in September 2023.

"This is in the process that we have communicated with the Ministry of Finance. This process is ongoing and running smoothly," he explained.
