The Ministry Of Agriculture Has A Subsidized Fertilizer Procurement Debt Of IDR 27 Trillion To This BUMN

JAKARTA - Commission IV of the House of Representatives highlighted the debt of the Ministry of Agriculture to PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) worth IDR 27 trillion. This debt is related to the procurement of subsidized fertilizers for the period 2020 to 2023. The total debt was revealed from the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).

The chairman of Commission IV of the DPR, Sudin, also asked the Ministry of Agriculture when the debt to PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) was paid.

"There is a subsidized fertilizer receivable in 2020-2023 which has been audited by the BPK amounting to Rp27 trillion, so far it has not been submitted to the Ministry of Finance, he said it was hampered or hampered by the Ministry of Agriculture. Meanwhile, the BPK audit has been completed. So when is this done?," he said in a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture with the Food SOEs, Wednesday, August 30.

The Sub-Department also admitted that he was worried that if the subsidized fertilizer debt had not been paid, PT Pupuk Indonesia could not produce subsidized fertilizers on the grounds that it did not have funds.

"Because I'm afraid that later the new president director will want to produce, but don't have money. Don't let this be a mistake to the Ministry of Agriculture," said Sudin.

Responding to concerns from the Sub-Department, Director of Agricultural Infrastructure and Facilities (PSP) of the Ministry of Agriculture Ali Jamil said his party was in the process of resolving the debt problem.

Ali said this debt occurred due to differences in the cost of goods sold (HPP) when the initial subsidy budget was proposed two years ago, compared to when BPK conducted an audit. So, said Ali, there was a price adjustment.

"We are in the process of paying it. Again, this happened because of the difference between HPP and the initial proposal for HPP audit which was previously used for two years and when running to enter the previous HPP, everything was adjusted. So this is actually the cause," said Ali.

"God willing, this month 9 (September) will be clear as soon as possible. At the latest these are the last two weeks," he continued.
