JAKARTA - The staff of the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Arya Sinulingga predicts that PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk will avoid bankruptcy decisions. Moreover, he said, Waskita still has many assets.

Based on the case processing information system (SIPP) of the Central Jakarta District Court, a hearing will be held today for the decision on the Postponement of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU). Based on the schedule, the trial will start at 13.00 to 16.00 WIB.

"I think, because Waskita is strong in assets. The assets are really good, there are a lot of toll roads, there are still a lot of toll roads. Then there are still many projects. Then it's also unlikely to go bankrupt," he said at the Ministry of SOEs, written Thursday, August 24.

The trial was attended by the applicant's attorney (representing Donny Hartano Lasmana) and the defendant's attorney (representing the company) with the agenda of the trial decision from the panel of judges.

"In the trial, the Panel of Judges postponed the reading of the trial verdict to Thursday, August 24, 2023," Waskita said in a statement.
