Menparekraf Sandiaga Optimistic F8 2023 Transactions Reach IDR 50 Billion

MAKASSAR - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno is optimistic that economic transactions at the Makassar International Eight Festival and Forum (F8) in 2023 will reach IDR 50 billion.

According to him, transactions will increase significantly in F8 2023 because economic movements continue to increase.

"The transaction (F8), in my opinion, will have a significant increase. If we reach more than IDR 50 billion, it is already an achievement," Sandiaga said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, August 24.

The previous year, F8 recorded transactions of IDR 40.5 billion, an increase rapidly from the 2019 F8 event, which was IDR 8.9 billion.

F8 Makassar yang akan digelar selama lima hari pada 23-27 Agustus 2023 menjadwalkan berbagai ajang art dan budaya. Sesuai dengan nama kegiatan yang dimulai dari delapan huruf F yakni food, flower, fashion, film, fictionwriter, fussion jazz, folk, dan fine art.

At F8 this year, the committee collected a fee of Rp. 20,000 per person to be able to access various entertainment presented on the F8 agenda.

A number of well-known singers and bands in the capital will fill F8, such as Chocolate, Maliq d'essential, and Slank.

On this occasion, Sandiaga also praised the phinisi ship, which had been the location for his dinner with a number of invited guests at F8.

"Phinisi menjadi daya tarik yang sangat sensational. Ini sudah jadi legend dunia, di Labuan Bajo sudah menjadi lived on board," urainya.

In addition, the history of phinicing ships that have sailed seven oceans is considered to be a force and attraction, not only in Makassar, but also in Indonesia.

"Phinisi bukan hanya daya tarik di Sulsel, tetapi di seluruh Indonesia, mengadapkan phinisi sebagai kenaitan," ujar dia.
