Jokowi Aims For State Revenue Of IDR 2,781.3 Trillion In The 2024 State Budget

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in a speech delivering the 2024 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Draft (RAPBN) targets to be able to collect state revenues of IDR 2,781.3 trillion.

"This state revenue consists of tax revenues of Rp2,307.9 trillion and Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) of Rp473.0 trillion. Then, grants of 400 billion," he said at the DPR Plenary Session, Wednesday, August 16.

This amount is much higher than the 2023 State Budget which targets state revenues of IDR 2,463 trillion.

"The implementation of the Law on Harmonization of Tax Regulations, the Central and Regional Financial Relations Act, and the Financial Sector Development and Strengthening Law will also provide positive benefits for structural strengthening," he said.

Meanwhile, the 2024 APBN expenditure is said to be IDR 3,304.1 trillion, with details of central government spending of IDR 2,446.5 trillion and Transfers to Regions (TKD) of IDR 857.6 trillion.

This postur brings the primary balance to a negative figure of IDR 25.5 trillion which is pushed towards positive. Then, the budget deficit was designed at 2.29 percent of GDP or IDR 522.8 trillion.
