Public access to the Tegalluar High Speed Train Station is now easier. The reason is, the Cibiru Hilir Bridge, which is located in Cileunyi, Bandung Regency, has started operating today.

With this bridge, the journey from Jalan Soekarno Hatta, Bandung City to Tegalluar Fast Train Station only takes about 15 minutes through the Summarecon area, GBLA, and through the Cibiru Hilir Bridge.

Meanwhile, if you go through the toll road from Bandung, people can go through the exit KM 149 of the Purbaleunyi toll road which will soon be opened, then cross the Summarecon, GBLA, and pass the Cibiru Hilir Bridge with a travel time of about 10 minutes.

President Director of PT KCIC Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi said that with this bridge, the Tegalluar Fast Train Station will also be connected to Cimekar Station for about 15 minutes and 20 minutes to Gedebage Station. The Cibiru Hilir Bridge will replace the existing Cibiru Bridge which is right on the right side of the new bridge.

"Alhamdulillah, the construction of the Cibiru Hilir Bridge has been completed. Currently, the Cibiru Hilir bridge can be used by the community and will make it easier for the public to access the Tegalluar Fast Train Station," said Dwiyana, Thursday, August 10.

Dwiyana said KCIC continues to be committed to providing accessibility so that people can easily reach the Fast Train station. Accessibility is one of the important components in providing comfort and convenience for prospective passengers.

"Later, apart from the Cibiru Hilir Bridge, Tegalluar Station can also be accessed through the KM 151A toll exit and the KM 151B Toll Drop Zone which is currently being prepared," he said.

Integrated Other Transportation Modes

Dwiyana said, in addition to various accessibility, Fast Train Stations will be integrated with other modes of transportation. For the provision of intermodal at Tegalluar Station, a shuttle bus will be provided to Cimekar Station.

"Then the Greater Bandung Commuter Line and Garut Commuter Line via Cimekar Station, Trans Metro Pasundan BRT, Damri, as well as conventional and online taxis," he said.

Not only that, KCIC also collaborated with the association of Hotel Bandung, Damri and Summarecon to connect Tegalluar stations with community centers. For example malls, housing and hotels.

At Mall Summarecon, 4 buses will be provided as shuttles that will serve the community to Tegalluar station. That way, people just have to come or park their vehicles at Sumarecon Mall and go to Tegalluar station or vice versa.

The provision of this intermodal is carried out as a supporting factor for the community so that they can easily use the Fast Train. The construction of access and intermodal is the result of collaboration from the DKI Jakarta Regional Government, West Java, the Ministry of Communication and Fisheries, the Ministry of PUPR, the Ministry of SOEs, and all other relevant stakeholders.

To note, since the end of July 2023, the construction of the Fast Train infrastructure has reached 95.57 percent. Currently, the testing and commissioning process or trial with a speed of up to 350 km per hour continues.

Dwiyana explained, KCIC will continue to increase access and services to Fast Train stations so that it is easier for people to reach Fast Train stations. Not only is it beneficial for fast train passengers, this new bridge is also expected to be useful and have a good impact on community activities around the route.

"We are committed to always providing convenience and comfort for people who want to use Fast Trains. We continue to collaborate with various parties so that the ease of accessibility and intermodal integration at all stations can be realized," concluded Dwiyana.

For your information, the construction of the Cibiru Hilir Bridge has been going on from November 2020 to April 2021 for phase 1 of the construction of the lower structure and March to August 2023 for stage 2 of the construction of the upper structure.

The Cibiru Hilir Bridge has a pannjang 734 meters wide of 9 meters, including a 1 meter wide pedestrian path on each side. This makes the Cibiru Hilir Bridge wider than the previous bridge which only has a width of 4 meters. Thus, this new bridge is able to accommodate movement for 2 4-wheeled vehicles at once.
