JAKARTA PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII) is said to have built cooperation with the West Java Regional Government and Padjadjaran University (Unpad) in an effort to accelerate infrastructure development in West Java.

President Director of PT PII Wahid Sutopo said that the synergy established is expected to encourage the acceleration of the implementation of alternative financing schemes, including through cooperation between local governments and business entities/KPDBU, especially in West Java.

According to him, PT PII will prepare the provision of capacity building, screening support for potential KPBU projects (cooperation with the government and business entities), assistance and consultation related to the guarantee of the KPBU project to be able to support the Regional Government in West Java Province.

"This strategy will accelerate infrastructure development to have an impact on the economy and progress of West Java," he said in a written statement on Thursday, August 10.

Wahid explained that the same monkey that was built was also an excellent first step in synergy in an effort to accelerate infrastructure development through the development of a creative financing ecosystem.

On the same occasion, West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil said that his region has the potential to be the main destination for investment in Indonesia. "We are targeting this activity to run according to plan and provide many benefits for the people of West Java," he said.

Ridwan added, West Java is the best face of the Indonesian economy. The reason is, in this area the local government managed to eradicate 1000 poor villages.

Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Padjadjaran University, Rina Indiastuti, stated that the academic community has competence and various research in the field of infrastructure development. He said Padjadjaran University would play a role in the implementation of the MoU in the form of project assistance and various other supports needed by the West Java Provincial Government.
