JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) together with the Regional Government and law enforcement officials directly check the availability of 3 kilograms (Kg) subsidy LPG at 255 points to ensure that supply in areas is safe and on target.

Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communication, Fadjar Djoko Santoso, revealed that inspections and monitoring were carried out at the base level in all regions in Indonesia, starting from North Sumatra (5 points), Southern Sumatra (7 points), West Java (83 points), Central Java (78 points), East Java and Bali (16 points), Kalimantan (59 points), and Sulawesi (7 points).

"Pertamina proactively monitors and takes positive steps such as Sidak and Market Operations if needed in order to ensure that the supply of 3 kg LPG is safe and distribution to people in need can be right on target," he told the media, Wednesday, August 2.

He added that monitoring the distribution of subsidized LPG was also carried out by Pertamina Pusat in areas through Pertamina Integrated Enterprise and Data Command Center (PIEDCC) and direct visits by Pertamina President Director (Persero) Nicke Widyawati to a number of areas.

Fadjar explained, the results of the inspection and market operations that had been carried out showed a positive impact. The supply of 3 Kg LPG in several areas is in a safe and controlled condition without any shortage of supplies and no queues.

"We continue to carry out simultaneous field monitoring in all working areas and after that immediately carry out market operations for areas that need it. The impact is good, in many supply areas it is safe," said Fadjar.

Pertamina also continues to educate the public so that subsidized LPG is only used for the community according to the target set by the Government, namely underprivileged groups and small and micro businesses.

"For the wealthy who still use 3Kg LPG to switch to Non-Subsidized LPG, so that our brothers and sisters in need can still use their rights," added Fadjar.
