Back Again, Ministry Of Transportation Calls The Jabodebek LRT Trial Starting Next Week

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation ensures that the limited operational trial of the Jabodebek LRT for the public will begin next week. The postponement of this trial will not affect the operational schedule.

The trial was originally scheduled for July 27, but it was postponed and will resume on July 29. However, until this news was written, trials with the community had not yet begun.

Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation Adita Irawati said that if there were no obstacles, limited trials with the community would be continued next week.

"If everything goes well, it should be early next week," he told VOI when contacted, Wednesday, August 2.

Adita also said that the delay in the limited trial with the community was not safe to make the Jabodebek LRT operational schedule pushed back.

"Until now, it is planned for August 18," he explained.

Just for information, the limited operational trial of the Jabodebek LRT with invited passengers cannot be carried out. After being temporarily suspended by the Director General of Railways, since July 17, 2023 and originally planned to reopen on July 25.

However, due to the upgrade of the ATS system at the Jabodebek LRT, which aims to increase comfort for Jabodebek LRT service users, the trial has been postponed again.

The upgrade system that has been implemented, is running well and currently a trial run is being carried out to synchronize between the ATS system on the train and at the station.

Jabodebek LRT PR Manager Kuswardoyo said the implementation of limited operational trials with this invitation could not be carried out. This is because several things are still not found that are not suitable between trains and stations during the trial run period after the system upgrade.

"There are still some things that are not right between the station and the Jabodebek lrt train, such as train doors and doors at stations that are not yet precise and some other minor things," he said in an official statement, quoted Wednesday, August 2.

Kuswardoyo also guarantees that all passengers who have registered to take part in a limited operational trial will still be able to participate in the activity, even though there are delays in the implementation of this limited operational trial.
