Overcoming Scarcity, Pertamina Increases 3 Kg Elpiji Supply To 700,000 Tubes

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased the supply of 3 kg LPG gas to overcome scarcity in several areas.

Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secertary, Irto Ginting said, currently, at least from the mappings that have been carried out, Pertamina Patra Niaga has added stock and market operations in several areas such as Medan, Bangka Belitung, Bengkulu, East Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, and all of Sulawesi with 3 Kg subsidy LPG prepared to reach more than 700,000 tubes.

"First, we coordinate with the Regional Government to map areas that have the potential for increased subsidy LPG needs, so that stock additions can be immediately carried out and accelerate distribution or carry out market operations," explained Irto, Friday, July 28.

Another step that Pertamina has also taken is to cooperate with law enforcement officials (APH) to anticipate the misuse of LPG 3kg by irresponsible persons.

"It has been revealed in Karawang and Padang, and we really appreciate the steps taken by the Police for the actions taken," explained Irto.

Finally, according to Irto, the step taken was to accelerate the registration of Subsidies Right at the base, so that those who buy are right on target.

"With these steps, we are targeting the distribution of 3 Kg subsidy LPG to return to normal in the next 2-3 days," he continued.

Please note, currently the 3 Kg LPG quota that has been set for 2023 is around 8 million metric tons (MT), and this amount is specifically for underprivileged households and micro-enterprises.

Therefore, for the wealthy, restaurant, livestock, and other businesses can use non-subsidized LPG.

"This is so that people who are entitled to receive their rights enjoy subsidized LPG. We also ask for help from the community to actively report the use of subsidized LPGs that are not in accordance with the designation or misappropriation action to Pertamina Call Center (PCC) 135," concluded Irto.
