There Are 332,823 Heirs Who Have Not Received Housing Savings, BP Tapera Reveals The Cause

JAKARTA - The Public Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera) said that as many as 332,823 heirs with retirement from 1993 to December 2020 had not received housing savings for Tapera participants, until now.

BP Tapera's Director of Operations, Budi Santoso, said that the distribution of housing savings was hampered by several things.

"The obstacle faced is the incomplete pension / heir civil servant data, so 332,823 pension Tapera participants have not been returned," Budi told reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, July 27.

Budi said, based on Law Number 4 of 2016 concerning BAPERTARUM-PNS Public Housing Savings, there were 1.02 million heirs who were entitled to receive housing savings from Tapera. However, until now, only 444,536 people have received the Tapera savings.

Meanwhile, as many as 242,536 other participants have not received the savings from Tapera because there is no longer any remaining balance.

"Referring to Law Number 4 of 2016 concerning Public Housing Savings article 77, it is stated that BP Tapera is obliged to return housing savings for civil servants and the results of their camp which have stopped working because they have retired or died to their heirs," said Budi.

Therefore, Budi appealed to the heirs who are entitled to receive the Tapera savings to immediately complete their data.
