Make Etanol A Mix Of Pertamax Green, Pertamina Asks For Excise Incentives

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga introduced environmentally friendly fuel named Pertamax Green 95.

This fuel with an octane value of 95 is the mixed product from Pertamax with Bioethenol as much as 5 percent.

Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director, Riva Siahaan, revealed that his party expects excise incentives from the Ministry of Finance.

It is known, based on the Regulation of the Minister of Finance (PMK) Number 158/PMK.010/2018, the excise tariff imposed on Ethyl Alcohol of any type with any level is IDR 20,000 per liter, both domestic and imported production.

"Excise incentives are in the finalization stage," said Riva, quoted on Tuesday, July 25.

The tariff charged for fuel with a five percent ethanol content is IDR 1000 per liter.

When contacted separately, Pertamina's Corporate Secretary Patra Niaga, Irto Ginting hoped, with this incentive, Pertamax Green would not be subject to excise duty.

"Hopefully it won't get excise," added Irto.

Reporting from the official website of the Ministry of Finance, it is known that the alcoholic etyl products used as raw materials for making final goods that are not excisable goods can be requested for excise exemption.

Just so you know, currently Pertamina sells Pertamax Green 95 products for IDR 13,500 per liter and is only traded in Surabaya and Jakarta.

The gas stations that sell include Jemursari, Soetomo, Mulyosari, Merr, Ketintang, Karang Asem, Mastrip, Citra Raya Boulevard, Juanda, and Buduran gas stations.

For Jakarta, Pertamax Green 95 can be purchased at MT Haryono, Fatmawati 1 and Fatmawati 2, Lenteng Agung, and at the Sultan Iskandar Muda Kebayoran gas station.
