JAKARTA - Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir targets the ministry under his leadership to complete 88 national projects by 2024 or before the change of government.

Erick said, currently the Ministry of SOEs has completed 90 percent of national projects. This means that only 10 percent remains.

"Alhamdulillah, from 88 projects, thank God 90 percent has happened and there is still 10 percent which will be completed in early 2024," he said at the Ministry of SOEs, Monday, July 17.

Erick also mentioned the contribution of the two deputy ministers, namely Deputy Minister of SOEs I Pahala Nugara Mansyuri and Deputy Minister of BUMN II Kartika Wirjoatmodjo to the completion of the national project.

Erick said Pahala and Kartika or Tiko had a big contribution in accelerating the completion of the 88 national projects.

Meanwhile, Pahala Nugraha Mansyuri no longer serves as Deputy Minister of BUMN I.

This is in line with his inauguration as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) this morning.

"I thank Pak Tiko and Pak Pahala for this acceleration. So that we can continue to target 88 national projects which are our duty," he explained.

In addition, Erick also hopes that SOEs can become companies that have global competitiveness.

The reason is, he wants state-owned companies to become national economic bulwarks.

"We want to encourage SOEs that go global, at least open. Just supply chain, but position us as a national economic bulwark and this BUMN position is good in the global arena," he said.
